Memorial Day

And now a word from today's guest blogger, Mama Tina:

On Memorial Day we were driving back from New Hampshire when we decided to stop by a rest area for a bite to eat. I needed to pee and Luke was getting restless, so we decided that I would bring Luke in to stretch his legs while Josi stayed in the car with the baby. When we emerged from the restrooms, Luke noticed that many of the vendors were passing out free American flags and he wanted one. So we placed our food order and I obtained one for him. As we were waiting, Luke started marching around and waving his flag, much to the delight of other patrons. Suddenly he stopped short when he spotted a serviceman in full dress regalia, cap tucked under his arm. He sidled up to me, his eyes wide. "Look, Mama," he breathed, "a CONDUCTOR."
